A foreign fill is a fill on lash extensions you got somewhere else. Maybe you moved, maybe your artist did, maybe you’re just ready for a change, either way you shouldn’t have to pay for a removal and a brand-new set just to switch salons. So if your current extensions were applied well and your natural lashes are healthy, we fill them like they were ours. All seven Bonded Lash Bar studios take foreign lash fill appointments.
Your appointment starts with a quick assessment where our artist looks at your current set and sees whether each extension is isolated, and checks the health of your natural lash. If the foundation is solid, they match the style, curl, and length as closely as possible and fill you the same way they’d fill a Bonded set.
Now if the work underneath isn’t safe, like having clusters, lashes bonded together, or extensions too heavy for your natural lashes, we’ll tell you straight instead of stacking new work on top of a problem. In that case the better move is usually a removal and a fresh set, and as a new client your first full set is just $89.99. Either way, you leave with lashes that are healthy and full, not just full!

What Your Artist Checks Before Filling
When a fill is booked, its done elsewhere, and while most of the time they are perfectly safe and proper to fill, sometimes they aren’t. This assessment only takes about two minutes and ultimately determines whether a fill will actually hold. Four things get checked:
Each existing extension should sit on one natural lash, not bridge across several. Bridged lashes pull against each other as they grow, and filling over them locks the problem in.
This is the same rule as our own fills, if less than about half your set is left, a fill can't catch up and a full set is the honest recommendation. More than half, and a fill brings it back!
Different salons typically use different adhesives, and some don't play well together. Your artist checks how the existing bonds are aging before adding ours next to them.
If your natural lashes are thinned or damaged from previous work, we'll say so and talk through options, sometimes that's a lighter fill, sometimes it's a break or removal. Overloading is super common, and it leads weakened lashes so we never recommend it.

Switching Without The Awkward Part
Most of our clients who book a foreign fill are switching salons for a reason, and we hear all of them, from the old studio rushed fills, retention kept getting worse, the style never quite matched the reference photo.
